Changeover to ESG Products

… and this does according to a result of an investor study of the Quirin private bank each fifth investor in Germany with a future prospect to even rely completely on sustainability. After all, 47% of all investors are willing to spend more money on sustainable products and even one in four would therefore forego up to 30% of the return.

The sustainability trend is becoming more and more noticeable. Already 67% of the interviewees see that sustainability is increasing more and more and only 18% think it is just a kind of trend. But no matter what, the pandemic period is making people more aware, because already one third (34%) of the investors are now placing more emphasis on sustainability in their financial investments. In comparison, only two thirds of investors do not yet have sustainable investments, but this is likely to change in up to five years. If we look at the year 2019, 8% have invested sustainably. By 2025 it is estimated that even an increase of more than 15% will develop. This would mean that one in four (24.6%) would again invest in sustainability. At present, almost one in ten euros (9.3%) is already invested sustainably.

Nevertheless, there must not be any gaps for corruption when it comes to the topic of sustainability, because despite all the interest shown, a full 79% of those surveyed place the highest value on criteria that actually distinguish sustainability in a company.
